BIOGRAPHY
FAEWAR
BIOGRAPHY
Dystogons originate from the once lush and prosperous planet, Dystoga. Whilst they are an intelligent race, as tribes people and peaceful worshippers of nature deities, their technological capabilities remain primitive. Dystogons are part of a unique collective of peoples in that whilst they are not space travel capable, their race has colonised as far as the Outer-Rim due to exceptional circumstances. There are two suborders within the Dystogon race.

NATIVE DYSTOGONS
FAEWAR
BIOGRAPHY
Native Dystogons – Members of the Dystogon race who chose to remain on their home world following the wreckage of the Dimyltryptium War. Living in the apocalypse has catalysed both physiological and psychological adjustments from the pre-war Dystogon form. Native Dystogons are mentally unhinged scavengers with yellow skin and a fascination of technology, particularly fast land vehicles.
COLONIAL DYSTOGONS
FAEWAR
BIOGRAPHY
Colonial Dystogons – Many Dystgons took the option to flee from Dystoga during the war. Unlike Native Dystogons, Colonial Dystogons are physiologically unaltered from their pre-war forms due to little or no exposure to the Dimyltryptium fallout. They retain their green skin and peaceful nature. They are however far less naive and fear technologically advanced peoples. Colonial Dystogons have colonised a secret refugee world in the Outer-Rim.

HISTORY
FAEWAR
BIOGRAPHY
Before the arrival of the Celestial Democracy, Dystogon society was built upon theological reasoning. The peoples of Dystoga believed that all phenomena of nature are the creation of the divine or supernatural. Dystogons worshipped a multitude of deities, usually assembled into a Pantheon of Gods and Goddesses where a Shaman resides and conducts musical rituals. Each deity is responsible for a natural force or phenomena; wind, rain, drought, death, conception and sickness, for example. As a hunter gatherer race, Dystogon society was heavily dependent on prosperous weather and the deities responsible for such conditions.

The Celestial Democracy encountered the peaceful tribes people early in their galactic conquest, in search of a replacement fuel source to improve their space travel capabilities. This came in the form of Dimyltriptium (DMT); a rare and extremely dense molecule with very high energy yield potential, unparalleled by any other substance in the known universe. Dimyltriptium was discovered in abundance in reservoirs beneath Dystoga’s surface. Upon contact, the Dystogons refused to allow the Celestial Democracy permission to frack the Dimyltriptium from their territories, as it threatened the preservation of their sacred land. When the Celestial Democracy persisted anyway, the peaceful Dystogon tribes united under one banner (‘The United Tribes of the Wastelands’), took up arms and went to war with the alien invaders.

The result of the war was devastating. With Dystogons being heavily outgunned, they suffered severe losses. The Celestial Democracy recovered the Dimyltryptium and left Dystoga forever. The fracking and artillery bombardment cause heavy pollution Dystogas atmosphere in the form of dimyltryptium plasma (charged residue). The delicate ecosystem was seriously altered and the dimyltryptium plasma had adverse effects on the cognition of the Dystogon brain, causing fluctuations in Dystogon nature that can only be described as feral and unhinged. In the Dimyltryptium fallout, ‘The United Tribes of the Wastelands’ run riot throughout Gnaxibos, commandeering abandoned Celestial Democracy military tech and scavenging to survive.

However, not all Dystogons were condemned to live a feral life in the post-apocalypse of Dystoga. A group of Dystogons, now known as Colonial Dystogons, managed to flee the war with aid from a secret Faewarian faction who offered the Dystogon people asylum upon the jungle moon – Muunsapphari, orbiting their own planet in a faraway system. Those that accepted escaped the war and lived a conventional Dystogon life on Muunsapphari, unaltered by the pollution of war.

CULTURE
FAEWAR
BIOGRAPHY
Native Dystogons
In the wastelands of the Dimyltyptium fallout, the remaining Dystogon peoples scavenge the dystopian wasteland and live a life of savagery. The ambitions of the Native Dystogons are simple and primitive – they scavenge to survive and survive to stimulate. The Dimyltriptium Plasma in Dystoga’s atmosphere has altered their physiology in many ways but most prominently it has shrunk their cerebrum and enlarged their adrenal glands. Consequently, Native Dystogons are dim-witted and severely addicted to their own adrenaline. Native Dystogon culture is entirely centralised around thrill riding and rampaging across Gnaxibos in the most stimulating ways possible, scavenging as they go.

BIOGRAPHY
Whilst dim-witted, these Dystogons have developed a slight aptitude for the use, maintenance and modification of motor vehicles, explosives and energy weapons. A surplus of such technology was abandoned by the Celestial Democracy post-war and is now harvested by the nomadic, Dystogon thrill machine.

FAEWAR
BIOGRAPHY
Colonial Dystogons maintain theological sociology, reminiscent of pre-war Dystogons, that all phenomena of nature are the creation of the divine or supernatural. Elected Shamans conduct the traditional musical rituals to these deities in temples that are becoming increasingly numerous across Muunsapphari. They are however far less naive than their pre-war ancestors and fear technologically advanced peoples, with the exception of the Faewarian people, who they trust and revere highly.
