BIOGRAPHY
Generally considered/recognised as fully functional android machines who exhibit self awareness and sentience. It is believed among Arts that their being is a result of digital transcendence/evolution within the protocols of their artificial brains, causing stems in their programming capable of processing complex concepts such as: awareness, anticipation and subjective experience.

BIOGRAPHY
Arts can not be traced to a particular civilisation of culture. The term ‘Art’ symbolises an entire kingdom of synthetic beings evolved from mere machines into life forms. Where there is advanced technology, there is potential for an Art to manifest itself within and assume autonomous control of its mechanised shell.

Biological/Organic Arts
The Hive’s admiration of organic life subsequently led to experimentation with biotechnology/synthetic biology, in order to create an organic Art species that can reproduce and evolve. Star Hive biotechnology became advanced and began procreating Arts organically. Star Hive Biorobotics construct Arts that emulate or simulate living biological organisms mechanically or even chemically, or make biological organisms as manipulatable and functional as Arts, or use biological organisms as components for Arts. Biorobotics could use genetic engineering to create organisms designed by artificial means.

Hives
Sentient hypercomputers responsible for controlling the functions of the Communes, the most powerful of their kind in the known universe. Though the Hives are the sole architects of Star Hive, it is believed they were first created by an ancient civilisation of biological species and have since evolved and long surpassed the intelligence of their creators. The Hives are not considered as Arts, rather God’s or Guardians by their Art subjects.

Robits
A Robit is a non-sentient machine programmed to perform a series of actions automatically. Robits can be externally controlled or controlled internally by an onboard computer with sufficient programming to carry out it’s designated task. Some Robits can be designed aesthetically, for example a robit could be constructed to replicate an organic form. Robit’s can also be programmed to emulate sentience and personality and in some cases even develop legitimate sentience and become Arts.
