Situated in the Amplex System, Amplexia is the jewel in the crown of the Galapeon Commonwealth, gleaming cities serve as an example of the utopia the Celestial Democracy strives to become. The nation of Galapelago was founded to commemorate 250 years of Celestial Democracy, as a symbol of cooperation and success. Its population are amongst the wealthiest in the Celestial Sea, spread out over a collection of 250,000 private islands that make up the nations Archipelago.

Amplexia is generally reserved for the upper classes and the extremely wealthy. Many Celestial Democrats own properties both on Amplexia and Gal, residing in the latter only when needed for work. The planet prides itself on its luxurious islands, offering the unique opportunity of a personal paradise to those who can afford it. The Galapeon Syndicates who run the world are extremely welcoming to its citizens, allowing for much freedom within one’s own private island. They are, however, uncompromising gatekeepers to those not of appropriate status.

Access to the planet is strictly invitation only, requiring the confirmation of a sponsored property owner. Amplexia employs millions of workers, each is thoroughly background checked and must be of the highest calibre. The planet’s capital, Peona, is the world’s centre of trade and communication. It is largely inhabited by the Galapeon Syndicates who inherited Amplexia during the colonisation of the Inner-Rim, approximately 500 years ago. Many have become ethnically diverse, recruiting alien species within their ranks from across the Celestial Democracy.

The city of Venicia is the planet’s capital of culture, nested in the heart of Galapelago, existing over the largest island in the archipelago. It is a city of fine establishments and high class entertainment. The Amplexian media thrives on the envy of the galaxy, manufacturing an idealistic world with stories of the high life, dictating what art and music is of the highest worth. Amplexia prefers to keep its entertainers in exclusive contracts, always serving what the people want to see. If Amplexia represents the mainstream, then Amathonia acts as its counter culture.
